Operating within the ARMELSAN Group, ARMELSAN Defense Inc., is a high-tech company specializing in underwater acoustics and Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) technologies for the defense industry. With its long years of experience and strong infrastructure, ARMELSAN Group aims to become a leading company both nationally and internationally in the energy sector. In order to achieve this goal, ARMELSAN Enerji A.Ş. was established as a spin-off company within the ARMELSAN Group. The company is built on ARMELSAN Savunma A.Ş.’s extensive Research and Development (R&D) experience and infrastructure gained from the projects and services it has carried out over many years.
ARMELSAN Energy Inc. is a high-tech company that conducts research and development studies focused on the energy sector in accordance with the technology development roadmap determined within the framework of Türkiye’s Development Plans. The company operates under the guidance of a Science and Technology Board composed of distinguished academics who are pioneers in their fields. Under the coordination of this board, ARMELSAN Energy Inc. carries out technology, system, project and business development activities in collaboration with leading companies, universities, and academics in this sector.

Cenk Cumhur KIYKIM completed his Bachelor and Master education at Gazi University, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1999 and 2022, respectively, and worked as a Research Assistant in the Energy Department of the same department for one year after his undergraduate graduation. In December 2000, he left his position at the university and started working at the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries.
Cumhur KIYKIM started his career at the Undersecretariat for Defence Industries in the R&D Department and worked in many R&D projects until 2008. In 2008, after joining the Naval Vehicles Department, between 2010 and 2021, as Group Manager, he took part in the preparation of feasibility reports, tender, contract negotiations and contract management, testing and verification and delivery processes in many projects for the Turkish Naval Forces and Coast Guard Command, especially the Anti-Submarine Warfare and Reconnaissance Patrol Ship (MİLGEM) Project, İSTİF Class Frigate, New Type Submarine Project, Seismic Research Ship Project and Maritime Supply Combat Support Ship Project. During his tenure, he attended the 5.5-month Senior Course at the “NATO Defense College” in Rome in August 2011. C. Cumhur KIYKIM was appointed as the Head of Naval Vehicles Department of the Presidency of Defense Industries in September 2021 and served in this position until July 2024.
Deciding to continue his career in the energy sector outside the public sector, C. Cumhur KIYKIM left the Presidency of Defense Industries in July 2024 and started to work as the General Manager of ARMELSAN Enerji A.Ş. and still continues to serve in this position. He speaks English fluently and is married with two children.
